Happy Monday! Okay, well I know Mondays aren't always the favoritest day of the week so I thought, Hey! Why not have a par-tay? Best idea ever, Michelle. (I talk to myself a lot...no lie.)

Anyhow, enough chatter let's get this par-tay rocking! Today we are celebrating, my debut release Soul Survivor! *dances* I've been working on this book foooorrreeevvveeeerrr!

So first up, in case you haven't seen it let's take a gander at the full jacket for Soul Survivor courtesy of Sarah Hansen from Okay Creations...

Her genius kills me! She left me speechless with this piece of art. :) And in case you can't see it on the image here's the synopsis:

Hailee Mai Hart is just a simple, normal girl. Or so she thought.

When she left her one-horse town for a college education in the big city, she never could've imagined what awaited her.

She's quickly thrown into a world filled with angels, danger, and a curse…her curse. Come to find out, she's not so simple after all. She's actually the last of her kind, and the fate of the world rests on her shoulders. She has one chance to save Earth, and it all comes down to one choice: Light or Darkness. What is right and what is wrong is all a matter of perspective, which leaves her heart dangerously tangled. No matter which path she takes people will die, and that's just not an option.

Will she be able to save everyone, or will she be the Soul Survivor?

Okay, moving this par-tay right along! In case you haven't heard me say this before music truly inspires me and sets the stage for 95% of what I write! I spend a lot of time in my car driving to work, driving to class, etc. so I listen to music a lot! It amazes me how I can hear a song over and over and then suddenly out of the blue BAM! it hits me and in my mind a scene unfolds. One of the songs that truly inspired me the most on this playlist has to be Set Fire to the Rain by Adele. It set up a scene that completely shifted the original plot line for SS. Feast your pretty little ears on the entire playlist for Soul Survivor

Now feast your pretty little eyes on some photo quotes (in case you haven't seen them already.)

So, it's time to put on your party hats cause we've got another book to celebrate! I have with me today the lovely Emma Hart! Now through Monday we'll be celebrating her newest release Never Forget! Woop! Woop! So, let's get this partay started! Check out the snazzy cover….

So, what's Never Forget about?

A city girl.

A small town boy.

A summer they'll never forget.

Spending the summer at her Grammy's in Lilac Bay, Devon, is city girl Alexis 'Lexy' Edwards idea of hell. That is, until she reconnects with her childhood friend, Jen, and meets Alec Johnson.

Alec is the kind of guy Lexy knows she needs to stay away from. He's the village flirt, ridiculously hot and very dangerous to her self control. But there's a problem – she can't seem to keep him out, even though she knows he'll break her heart.

As Alec slowly strips away Lexy's defenses and the two embark on a summer romance she never wanted, their feelings grow to more than either expected. But nothing lasts forever, and reality intrudes.

As her world is shaken to it's core, Lexy's self made prediction comes true when she discovers she's spent six weeks surrounded by secrets. Kept out by her family and the only guy she's ever trusted, she falls apart.

And when Grammy tells her that 'you might not end up where you wanted to be, but you'll always end up where you're meant to be,' she has to figure out if her meant to be is back home in London, or if it's been in Devon the whole time.

Eeep! Now, to get you in the mood for Never Forget, let us partake in some tunes!

As always what party is complete without a few parting gifts?! Enter below to win an e-book of Never Forget provided by yours truly AND enter to win a signed copy and swag from the lovely Emma herself!

Welcome! Welcome! I have the greatest most exciting honor of helping the terrific Tiffany King kick off the release of her latest book Jordyn!!! Woop Woop! And you know how we do things round here, right?
So, let's…..PARTAY!

Before I line you up with some jams lets first take a look at the gorgeous cover designed by the awe-inspiring Sarah at okay creations (where the designs are not just okay) ;)

And here's the synopsis...

Hand to hand combat training: Check
Cardio and strength training: Check
Daemon hunting: Check
Anomaly: Check

Check, check, check, check...That's all my life is. There's nothing ordinary about me. I'm "special." I know this because I'm reminded of it every stinking day. I can kick a Daemon's ass with both hands tied behind my back. I can run up a mountain without breaking a sweat. Know what I can't do? Get guys to notice me, or hang out with friends like normal people do. I can't just be ordinary because I have an Arch Angel for a mentor who is always breathing down my neck, and a family of angelic Guides and Protectors who scrutinize every little thing I do. Just for a day I want a life where I'm no longer some anomaly, where I don't have to feel like a lab rat.

And then I met Emrys. Okay, so my mentor and family hate him, but probably for good reason. After-all, he is a Soul Trader, and they aren't the most trust worthy beings. But, he is sooo hot with his green eyes, leather jacket and the sexiest tattoo you've ever seen running down his back. And-he doesn't treat me like a project.

I've got myself in quite a little quandary here. Choosing between my responsibilities and the Trader that holds my heart is something I didn't sign up for. Torn between two different worlds, I must now decide who to trust and who to walk away from. What's a girl to do? See what I mean? I am an anomaly. I am Jordyn.

As always when we par-tay we have to include some jams!

And what reputable shindig would be complete without prizes?! See the rafflecopter below to enter your chance to win an e-book of Jordyn along with some exclusive TK swag! If you guys do a really good job spreading the news about Tiff's latest release I might just have to make TWO of you winners! ;)

So, most of you know that I love Michelle Muto (if you missed the memo just check the October archives.) And Don't Fear the Reaper is seriously one of my all-time favorite reads--such an amazing book. So, how could I resist having a Don't Fear the Reaper Behind the Scenes Bash?!

Michelle stops by to give us the behind the scenes/making of Don't Fear the Reaper! Aren't you excited?! And not only is she dishing the dirt, she's provided us with some DFTR jams AND of course prizes!!! Yay!

Speaking of jams, check out the DFTR playlist....

So, I won't keep you waiting any longer…here's the exclusive behind the scenes look into Don't Fear the Reaper!

I first came up with the idea for Don't Fear the Reaper after several agents had rejected another novel I’d written and asked if I had anything, darker – more edgy. Oddly, it’s been years, but I still recall coming up with the concept so vividly.

I was cleaning house and mulling over new ideas when Blue Oyster Cult’s iconic 1976 song, Don't Fear the Reaper, came up on my iPod’s playlist. There were several parts that truly inspired me: “Take my hand,” “40,000 men and women everyday,” “Love of two is one. Here, but now they’re gone,” and “the candles flew and the mist appeared, the curtains blew and then he appeared.”

From there, it was a matter of ‘What If’s’ that made my idea unique from the song. What if it wasn’t star-crossed lovers? What if it was family? What if the main character met up with a bounty-hunting reaper and a handsome, but sarcastic demon? And what if all the odds were stacked against my main character and yet, she still found hope and assistance in the most unlikely of fellow characters? What if all it took to save a soul was sacrifice, one born of undying love and devotion? And yet, what if the price of that salvation came at a high price?

I couldn’t wait to write it. What I hadn’t expected was how it’d rip open old wounds, how the pain of writing Keely’s grief meant revisiting my own. I’d lost my grandparents, my parents, my uncles, all my aunts except for one. I’d lost friends and beloved fur babies, all of whom I’d loved with every fiber of my being. I’d witnessed four of their deaths. I even held the head of two in my arms as they passed. Two loved ones died in the house I currently live in.

Up to this point, I’d managed my grief. Now, by sitting down to write about love that went beyond death, I was getting ready to stick a hammer and chisel into the wall I’d built and bring the entire thing down—and with it, all the painful memories I’d carefully placed behind it.

Tell me about Heaven, DadI really want to know,Because ten long years have passed,And I miss you so…
The above stanza is from a poem I wrote to my father ten years after his death. I cannot begin to describe what it was like to lose my father, whom I loved more than my very being. All these years later, I’ll freely admit it: I’m a Daddy’s girl. We’re so much alike, he and I.  I was robbed of him far too soon by multiple myeloma, a brutal and incurable cancer.
For those who have read Don’t Fear the Reaper, it’s easy to see the real life example I used. It’s easy to spot the grief, the emotion I used for my main character, Keely Morrison. All scenes I drew from real life.
Oh, and about those agents? I had several tell me that the opening was one of the best they’d read in a long time and that the concept was truly original. But, in the end, they felt the subject matter was too dark. That’s okay. I think the person best qualified to make that choice is the reader.

That’s my heart on a sleeve, Dear Reader. The story behind the story. Thanks for reading about the journey.
Thank you, Michelle! Now, some of you may remember I had the chance to get up close and personal with Daniel the demon last year and boy was that a smokin' experience! I thought you might just want a second look at what transpired. ;)

<At a dangerously covert location, I wait in the shadows for Daniel to appear. I'm starting to second guess myself  about coming here when I hear a man clearing his throat.>

M: Daniel, it's so nice to see you in the flesh! Well, maybe flesh isn’t the appropriate term but you know?

D: It’s always good to know the old flesh and bone version never loses its appeal. By the way? Never second guess yourself. <grins best devastating grin> I’ve actually been here for a little while now. You’ve got the sweetest little worried look going on when you get nervous. It’s really quite endearing.

Anyway, pleased to meet you. Love the name.

M: <blushing> Why thank you, Daniel. <shakes head> I know our time is limited so if you are ready for my interrogation, let's get started. <pulls out notes> So, how long have you been in the demon game?

D: <raises eyebrow in thought> Before, or after I went coal-side? After? Maybe two or three years. But I’m a fast study.

M: <giggles> Imagine that. <refocuses on notes>Next question, when you first met Keely what was going through your mind?

D: That she was a total, self-centered diva who got a second chance because that pretty little face of hers reminded Banning of what his own daughter would have looked like. I’ve changed my tune since then. She’s got a real spark about her. I like that in a girl.

M: <raises eyebrow> Really? Well, I personally love the pet name of "Sunshine" you've given Keely. It is amazing how she can be a bright person involved in such a dark turn of events. What possessed you to call her that?

D: I always knew she had a soft spot inside. She just tries to cover it up. <laughs> Okay, the real reason? Don’t go telling her this, but she really is sunshine. A real bright spot in my existence.

M: Aww. That is so sweet. <sigh> Throughout Don't Fear the Reaper, it is apparent that you have had a bit of troubled history or at least you are hiding something, but even though you are a demon you still get caught showing you good guy side from time to time. Does that have anything to do with Keely's influence on you?

D: Between us? Yeah. The girl’s gotten under my skin. Too bad she has whole concept of how much of a prick I can be. Yeah, it’s true that I can make the best bad boy look like a prom date. I’m exactly her type. She just doesn’t know it. Yet. Hey, I’m patient. Sort of. Time is on my side, right? But that’ll be our secret. See? The perks about being a demon is that I do know what scares you.

M: Your secret is safe with me. <winks> So you and Banning, I get the sense you've had some sort of history before Keely. Would you like to divulge any of those experiences?

D: <snort> The dude has issues. And Banning has a serious inability to play by the rules. I respect that.

M: What is the one thing you miss most about being alive? I mean you were a human before you died and came to be in your current state, right?

D: Best part? You said it all in one word, Sweets. Being alive. I miss it all. Everything. Even the stuff I thought was bad. Well, except for the incident that landed me here. I’d take that as a do-over. I’d do it right the second time.

M: <nods> What's next for Daniel? Can we look forward to sharing in more adventures with you, Keely, and Banning?

D: The party is just getting started as far as I’m concerned. In fact, it’s time to crank up the heat, fan a few flames, you know? Purgatory needs a dose of bad-assery now and then. <best, most mischievous grin yet>

M: <wide grin followed by intense blushing> Bad-assery, huh? Sounds like a good time. <chuckles then reviews notes>  Now, Daniel I know you like speed so are you ready for the speed round? <raises eyebrow>

D: I’m not all speed, all the time. <wink> But I do like a challenge. Hit me. I can take it.

M: Alrighty, then. Answer with the first thing that comes to mind.
Color? Red
Song? The Devil Inside
Food? Can’t eat. But I’d pick Devil’s Food and I’m not talking about the cake.
Place? Anywhere topside will do.
Book? The Exorcist. Everyone loves a bedtime story.
Season? Summer.
Holiday? October 30th. Devil’s Night.
Person? <laughs> Trickery will get you nowhere, Sweets. That’s my job.

M: <chuckles> Oh Daniel, thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me. I know there are a lot of demon loving gals out that are super excited you did.  Be sure to say hello to Keely and Banning for me. I can't wait to spend more time with you all…well in book form…I prefer to live a bit longer if possible.

D: Ah! Fans of the Flame, eh? Nice. I’ll pass along the word to Banning and Sunshine. About the time… you sure? If you ever change your mind, I can do a little arranging. Kidding. Stay topside, Sweets. <grin> Seriously, it’s been fun. Catch you later. <disappears in a burst of airborne flame and smoke>

M:<fans self with papers before racing away from dangerous location>

*Sighs* Seriously that is one of my all time fave interviews! Now, for a proper send off here's your chance to win a Michelle Muto e-book! Good luck and be sure to Share the Love for Don't Fear the Reaper & Michelle Muto! Don't delay this giveaway will reap a winner this Friday at midnight!

11 Questions from my lovely nominators Reality Bites! Let's Get Lost!
1) Who is your favorite author?
This question is way too hard for me to answer!!! I can't just pick one. How about a top ten in no particular order: Courtney Cole, M. Leighton, Tiffany King, Devyn Dawson, Michelle Muto, Paulina Ulrich, Addison Moore, H.M. Ward, Chelsea Fine, & Abbi Glines.

2) What is your ALL TIME favorite movie?
This is another hard one…the first movie that comes to mind is Pitch Perfect.

38 which is pretty amazing when you consider how much reading time I DID NOT have. :)
4) What is your favorite genre to read?
I'm a sucker for YA/New Adult.
5) If you could choose one book series to be made into an hour long T.V. show which book series would you pick?

6) Which stand alone book did you read last year was so GOOD, that you wish the author would make it into a series?

The Haunting Season by Michelle Muto, a creepy and oh so addictive read.

I've only been on a plane once and that was back in 2009 when I went to San Antonio, TX.
8) If you could turn a book into a play that travels around the world, which book would you choose?

Crap, again this is a tough one. I'd say Miss Me Not by Tiffany King. It’s a great book with a great message. I think it'd translate well to stage.
9) What is the name of the last book you read that kept you up all night?
If You Stay by Courtney Cole, grab it when it comes out this February!
10) How many hours a day do you actually watch television?
An hour if I'm lucky which just so happens to be how often I get to read.

Holy crap! It's here! It's finally here! And what better way to celebrate the arrival of another steamy Cash filled read then with a par-tay? I think Cash would approve, don't you? ;)

I would like to thank the lovely M. Leighton for allowing me to throw her this out of this world Up To Me Release Par-tay Extravaganza! So, let get this blog a rockin'!

First up on the par-tay agenda, steamy book cover and synopsis...

Happily ever after doesn’t come easy.  But for love, it’s always worth the fight.

Olivia finds bliss unlike any she’s ever known in Cash’s arms.  He sets her skin on fire and melts her heart right inside her chest.  Unfortunately, their happily ever after is short-lived when a shadow from Cash’s past threatens to turn their world upside down.

Dangerous people from his father’s world have discovered that Cash holds information that could put them away for a very long time.  And they’re willing to do anything—and hurt anybody—to get it back.  Giving it up means Cash must choose between the life of his father and the life of Olivia.

Having nearly overcome her wariness of bad boys, Olivia’s trust is shaken when this new threat arises.  Now she finds that Cash is not only a danger to her heart, but his family has associations that are a danger to her life as well.  She soon discovers that there are some situations in life where trust is a girl’s only option.  And this is one of them.  If she’s to live, she must trust Cash with her life.  But to Olivia, that’s much, much easier than letting go and trusting him with her heart.

If that doesn't get your motor running for this book, then I think you need to visit the mechanic. ;)

Next up on the par-tay agenda, tunes! Check out the awesome Up To Me playlist to get yourself in the mood for more Cash-Olivia hotness!

Mia's Heart Release After Par-tay

*11.30.12 thru 12.2.12*~

We are here to celebrate Mia’s Heart by the marvelous Courtney Cole! Now, for those of you who don’t remember Mia’s Heart was actually supposed to hit the shelves Dec 1st BUT because Courtney is super amazing/productive it released early! So, instead of the typical release par-tay instead we are having a Release After Par-tay! Sounds pretty upper class, huh?

So, for those of you lovelies who haven’t had a chance to get acquainted with Mia’s Heart let’s kick things off with this…

My name is Mia Giannis.
I am seventeen years old.
I live in Valese, Caberra.
This has become my mantra and my lifeline, having recently lost my memory due to a scary natural disaster.
Yeah.  I have amnesia.  Messed up, right?
You don’t know the half of it.
Not remembering anything has turned my world upside down. My parents try their hardest to “remind” me of who I was, but it doesn’t feel right. Or, if what they’re saying is true and that really was me, I’m not sure I like that person very much.
And then there’s my love life.  Apparently, Gavin Ariastasis is my oldest and best friend in the world. Also, apparently, we’ve never dated.  But now, noticing him for what feels like the first time, he’s making my heart do somersaults.  He knows me inside and out—the real me.  Plus, he’s sexy and charming as hell.  Sounds perfect, right?
But then… there’s the new guy. Quinn McKeyen – tall, gorgeous and deliciously American.  His mischievous grin and slow Midwestern drawl turn my insides to mush in two seconds flat making me question who I really am and what I really want.
Seriously. What am I supposed to do with all that?!  I feel torn between them, but I barely even know who I am, let alone what I want.
I just hope my indecisive heart will clue me in.  And sooner rather than later…before I lose what little of my mind that I have left.

Super amazing, right? I know! And of course, no par-tay is complete without a goodie bag! Be sure to get yourself entered to win your very own copy of Mia’s Heart below. Now join us while we rock without some jams from the Mia’s Heart playlist cause a party ain’t a party without some jams!

*11.23.12 thru 11.25.12* Miss Me Not Release Par-tay

Welcome, welcome! Today is going to be an amazing day! Why? Well, because today marks the beginning of the Miss Me Not Release Day Par-tay! Woo hoo! Aren’t you excited?! I am! OMG! I have to tell you Miss Me Not is out of this world. Another off the charts hit from Tiffany King!

Let’s get this party started by introducing you to Miss Me Not.

They had a pact.
Leave the world behind much as they had lived it.
No one would miss them. No harm, no foul.
Their personal demons would be left behind once and for all.
It was the only thing they could count on.
It was all she had.

Madison Hanson has spent the last four years being a "shadow." Her parents ignore her. The students at her school stopped talking to her years ago, and the majority of her teachers forget she's even there. In her desperate yearning to leave her invisible life behind, Madison makes a pact with her only friend, James Garrison, to end their lives as inconspicuously as they live them. No fuss, no muss. No one would miss her and she would miss no one. Their plan is set, and it's all she can count on. That is, until fellow student, Mitch Peterson, beats them to the punch. Everything Madison believed in is shaken to the core when she watches the aftermath of Mitch's death unfold. By taking his own life, Mitch unwittingly saves hers. What a selfish prick.

She is now left with the daunting task of living. Trying to bury her demons once and for all, and finally trusting someone with her fragile existence.

Living is hell.
Death would have been so much easier.

11.19.12 - 11.21.12 - Fair Feathered Release Day Par-tay!

I'm so glad you could join us because today is a very special day! Why is it special, you ask? Because the highly anticipated third novel in the Flightless Bird series is finally here…well it will be here on Tuesday, 11.20.12!

And what better way to celebrate than a Fair Feathered Release Day Par-tay with the amazing Paulina Ulrich herself! Yay!

In case you haven't heard about these awesome books yet here's a little recap of the series thus far…
The first novel in the series, Flightless Bird, begins with a secret from the past. When seventeen-year old Livy Eckels watched the destruction of her parent’s marriage the summer before her senior year, she never expected to fall in love herself after watching love fall apart. That is, until the entrance of Gregory Mason :  Mr. tall, handsome, and ever so annoying came into her life and with him, bringing his dangerous past filled with a secret society, a vengeful ex-lover, and a timeless secret of his own. With Gregory in the picture, there is no way she can simply focus on her senior year when the people from his past threaten their love at every moment. The second novel in the series, Broken Wings, continues the story. Livy struggles to accept the truth that Gregory has exposed her to and the dark people from his past haunt the two of them around every corner. Knowing Gregory’s powerful secret comes with risks she never imagined she’d have to face; risks like death. She just wants to finish her last year of high school in peace but fate seems to have a way of ripping apart everything she worked so hard to keep together. When you’ve lost so much, how much more is worth losing? Thus the third novel in the series, Fair Feathered, begins when Livy has no return to normalcy.

If you weren't already hooked then I bet you are now! So, what can we expect from Fair Feathered?
No return to normalcy...

Livy barely escaped the Society's clutches after risking everything to save the boy she used to dream of spending an eternity with:Gregory Mason. With their forbidden love pieced back together, Livy discovers Gregory's new found abilities, which threaten to keep them apart, even in death. Fighting the heartache of the knowledge that her time left with him is limited, Livy returns from hiding to make a new life for her and Gregory by attending college.

The Society of Seven continues to actively seek the truth and destroy Livy and Gregory for their mistakes. Even more prevalent is the vengeful Amelia lurking in the shadows and stirring up the damages she left in her wake.

As if having her fragile life and relationship constantly endangered isn't enough, an unforeseen betrayal by someone trusted threatens to completely unravel Livy. Now she is faced with trying decisions concerning those closest to her. Livy must make the ultimate sacrifice or risk losing another person she loves. Livy has her mortal life but what exactly is worth dying for?

Pretty amazing stuff, huh? Be sure to stop by every day and get your party on with us and while you're here be sure to get yourself entered for some goodies! Because no party is complete without a goodie bag, right? One of you lucky party goers will be the recipient of your very own copy of Fair Feathered! But if you need your own precious copy today, you can find it here at Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Oh, and be sure to mark it as to read on Goodreads!
