Day #3 - 5 Days of Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween!

Welcome to Day #3 of my 5 Days of Trick or Treat!  Mwahaha!

Let's see what I've got left in the Cauldron of Treats for this hauntingly horrific day.

*reaches hand into cauldron of treats and pulls out*

*devilish grin* How appropriate! Today's treat is Don't Fear the Reaper (Paperback) by the devilishly talented, Michelle Muto.

Here's the a little taste of what you could be treating yourself to…

Haunted by memories of her murdered twin, Keely Morrison is convinced suicide is her only ticket to eternal peace. But in death, she discovers the afterlife is nothing like she expected. Instead of peaceful oblivion or a joyful reunion with her sister, Keely is trapped in a netherworld on Earth with only a bounty-hunting reaper and a sarcastic demon to show her the ropes.

When the demon offers Keely her ultimate temptation--revenge on her sister's killer--she must determine who she can trust. Because, as Keely soon learns, the reaper and demon have been keeping secrets and she fears the worst is true--that her every decision changes how, and with whom, she spends eternity.

Reapers and Demons and Death, oh my! I made sure to drop this book into the Cauldron of Treats for one reason in particular, Daniel. Who could pass up a hot bad boy demon who has a well hidden heart of gold? And to be fair, Keely is quite entertaining herself. And Banning well, he has to be the coolest reaper I know. Need I say more? Cause I can, but I shall refrain.

If you would like to check a preview of the first chapter or spend some additional time with Daniel, check out the October archives located on the left. You'll find them there.

Trick or Treat and good luck to you devils! :)

(And if you don't win this book, you must treat yourself and pick it up at Amazon or Barnes & Noble.)

Day #2 - 5 Days of Trick or Treat

Trick or Treat, Friends!

Welcome to Day #2 of my 5 Days of Trick or Treat!  Mwahaha! Let's see what I've got in store for you today, my pretties.

*reaches hand into cauldron of treats and pulls out*

Ohhh, this is a Trick and a Treat! Hee hee! Today's treat is The Wild Ones by the frightfully talented, New York Times Best Selling, M. Leighton.

Here's the a little taste of what you could be treating yourself to…

Passion as hot as midnight in the South and love as wild as the horses they tame.

Camille "Cami" Hines is the darling daughter of the South's champion thoroughbred breeder, Jack Hines. She has a pedigree that rivals some of her father's best horses. Other than feeling a little suffocated at times, Cami thought she was pretty happy with her boyfriend, her life and her future.

But that was before she met Patrick Henley.

"Trick" blurs the lines between what Cami wants and what is expected of her. He's considered the "help," which is forbidden fruit as far as her father is concerned, not to mention that Trick would be fired if he ever laid a hand on her. And Trick needs his job. Desperately. His family depends on him.

The heart wants what the heart wants, though, and Trick and Cami are drawn to each other despite the obstacles. At least the ones they know of.

When Trick stumbles upon a note from his father, it triggers a series of revelations that could ruin what he and Cami have worked so hard to overcome. It turns out there's more to Trick's presence at the ranch than either of them knew, secrets that could tear them apart.

Not only is this book a NY Times Best Seller, it is also one of my favorites of 2012, which is why I made sure to put it in my Cauldron of Treats! (After I cradled it in my arms and drooled on the cover for an undisclosed amount of time.)

There is no better way to convey how much of a treat this book is except by sharing a few my favorite Tricky quotes…

"Trick? As in trick or treat? That kind of trick?" The Wild Ones, page 6

"Pick 'treat.' Please, for the love of God, pick 'treat'." The Wild Ones, page 6

"…Some even say the wild ones are the best." The Wild Ones, page 150

Besides, where else can you both indulge in Trick and a Treat?

Now, this book is for mature readers only so be sure you are of age before entering today's giveaway.

Trick or Treat and good luck to you, witches and wizards! :)

(And if you don't win this book, you must treat yourself to a little Trick and a lot of treats and pick it up at Amazon or Barnes & Noble.)
